Privacy policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
At Mininoz, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect on mininoz.ca, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights. It is written in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Mininoz has designated a person in charge of the protection of personal information. For any question about this policy or to exercise your rights, write to Mininoz's person in charge of the protection of personal information at info@mininoz.ca, with "Personal information" in the subject line.
2. Cookies and trackers
This website does not set any cookies and does not use any advertising or profiling tools (no Google Analytics, Facebook pixel or TikTok pixel). That is why no cookie consent banner is displayed.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure traffic on the website (number of visits, pages viewed, type of device). This tool does not set cookies, does not follow you from site to site and does not allow us to identify you.
So that you don't see the welcome animation on every visit, the website stores a simple note in your browser indicating that you have already seen it. This note contains no personal information and is never sent anywhere.
The only exception: the map on the "Where to buy" page is provided by Google Maps. When you visit that page, your browser communicates with Google, which receives your IP address among other things and may use its own cookies, as described in Google's privacy policy. The other pages of the website do not load any Google service.
3. Information we collect
Contact form
When you write to us using the contact form, we collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the type of request you choose;
- for professional or business inquiries only: your company name and, if you provide it, your title or position;
- the content of your message and any information you choose to include in it.
We recommend that you do not include health information in your message. If you do, it will be treated with the same confidentiality and only to answer your request.
If you write to us directly at info@mininoz.ca, we receive your email address and the content of your message.
Store map
If you use the "Near me" button, your browser first asks for your permission. Your location is then used only on your device to sort the list of pharmacies. It is never sent to Mininoz or stored.
If you search by postal code, the code is sent to Google to locate it on the map, unless it matches one of our pharmacies. No other information is sent with it.
Technical data
Like any website, our host receives technical data when you visit (IP address, browser type, requested page). This data is used to display the website and protect it against abuse. We do not use it to identify you.
4. Why we use this information
We use your information only to:
- answer your questions and requests;
- handle professional or business inquiries, for example from a pharmacy that wishes to carry our products;
- ensure the website works properly and securely.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent. We do not make any decision based exclusively on automated processing of your information.
5. Consent
By sending the contact form, you consent to our use of your information to answer your request, as described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@mininoz.ca. We will then stop using your information, subject to our legal obligations.
6. Service providers that process information for us
We rely on a few service providers to run the website. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Web3Forms: receives the content of the contact form and forwards it to us by email.
- Cloudflare: hosts the website, protects it against attacks and produces anonymous, cookie-free traffic statistics.
- Behold: displays our latest Instagram posts. This content only loads when you scroll down to that section; your browser then communicates with Behold and Instagram.
- Google (Google Maps): displays the store map and locates the postal codes searched. Google receives your IP address, map usage data and, where applicable, the postal code searched.
- OpenStreetMap and Nominatim: provide a backup map, used only if the Google map cannot be displayed.
7. Communication of information outside Quebec
Some of these providers operate servers outside Quebec, notably in the United States and Europe. Your information may therefore be processed there. Before entrusting them with information, we make sure it receives adequate protection, in particular through these providers' contractual commitments.
8. Retention period
Messages received through the contact form or by email are kept for 24 months after our last exchange with you, then securely destroyed. We may keep them longer only if required by law.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information: encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the whole website, access to messages limited to the people who need to answer them, and no storage of your information on the website itself.
In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the persons concerned, as required by law.
10. Your rights
At any time, you may:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you and obtain a copy of it;
- have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
- request that your information be deleted;
- withdraw your consent to its use;
- obtain your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
To exercise these rights, write to info@mininoz.ca or use our contact form. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within 30 days, free of charge.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
11. Children
This website is intended for parents and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
12. Links to other websites
Our website contains links to other websites, such as our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn), pharmacy websites or our online retailers. These websites have their own privacy policies, which we invite you to read. Mininoz is not responsible for their practices.
13. Changes
We may update this policy, for example if we add a feature to the website. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. If there is a significant change, we will clearly indicate it on the website.
